Funeral for Tommy Monroe Bruton, Sr., 77, of Mt Hope will be Friday, July 6, 2007 at 11:00AM at Elliott Funeral Home with Reverend's Jim Ramsey and Arlene Sutton officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00AM until 11:00AM. Tommy Monroe Bruton, who died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 was born on December 17, 1929 to Emmitt Thomas Bruton and Nancy Viola Woodard Bruton. He served in the US Army from February 1954 until January 1956. He retired from Monsanto after 29 years of service, he also was a lifelong farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Eloween Gist. Survivors include his wife Nell; one son, Tommy Bruton of Decatur; one sister, Betty Landers of Town Creek, several nieces and nephews and other family & friends. Pallbearers will be J. M Bruton, Steve Jeffreys, Phillip Lowery, Rocky Beck, Paul Lott, Mike Mann & Raymond Sutton.
