Tracy Wayne Gillespie's Obituary
Funeral for Tracy Wayne Gillespie, 75, Moulton will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Agee officiating.
Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Gillespie, who died Monday, June 30, 2014 was born on February 28, 1939. He was raised by his loving grandparents, Cliff and Nina Gillespie from infancy as one of their own.
He was City Building Inspector for Moulton and retired from there after becoming ill. Prior to this position, he co-owned and operated a fire sprinkler company for 18 years with his brother-in-law, Ronnie McPherson, in Dublin, Ca.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Moats Gillespie, daughter Sonya Gillespie Whalen (Eric), two grandsons, Cole John Whalen and Beau Mathew Whalen; one grandaughter, Hannah Grace Whalen; one great-grandson, Liam Paul Whalen; two brothers, Tim Gillespie and David Gillespie; one sister, Carolyn Atchinson and numberous nieces and nephews.
Pallbeaarers will be John Keith Roberts, David Gillespie,Jr., Butch Byers, Todd Gillespie, Wayne Nix and Danny Gillespie.
In lieu of fowers, memorial may be made to Moulton Congregational Christian Church Building Fund, or to The Gideons International.
