Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret "Velma" Lee Beene, 82 of Trinity will be held Saturday December 15 at 2pm in the chapel of Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home with Jack Harris and Jerry Strickland officiating. Interment will follow in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Beene was born on May 2, 1936 in Mount Hope, AL to William Ernest Mills and Annie Belle Heaps Mills. She passed away December 11, 2018 in Trinity.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband William J. "Dow" Beene; brother Roy Mills; and sisters Lila Vandiver, Helen Savage, Mary Belle Henson, and Addie Strickland.

She is survived by her children Sharon Beene Millsap, Ricky Beene(Kim), and Karen Wise(Rodney); sister Opal Harris; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
