Funeral for Velma Venable Holland, 94, of Moulton will be Monday, August 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Elliott Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Turner officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Holland, who died Friday, July 29, 2011, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born February 6, 1917, in Tennessee to Fred and Mattie Venable. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Her husband, Burns Holland, preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Norman Holland and his wife, Von, James Holland and his wife, Shirley, and Fred Holland and his wife, Scharlene; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons and great-grandsons will be pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
