Funeral for Veradean T. Terry, 77, of Courtland will be Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Harmony United Methodist Church, with Rev. Steve Gillespie and Darrell Mosely officiating and Elliott Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Terry Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Terry, who died Saturday January 19, 2008 was born January 27, 1930 in Lawrence County to Emmett and Maybell Thrasher. She was preceded in death by her husband Buford E. "Boots" Terry, daughter, Mary Diann Terry and great grandson Colby Dwayne Jones. Survivors include six daughters; Mattie Faye King and husband Jimmie Lee of Town Creek, Lola Faye Terry of Courtland, Carolyn Grimes and husband Tim of Moulton, Sarah Smith and husband Wayne of Town Creek, Betty White and husband Steve of Speake, Lisa Lovett and husband Tony of Moulton; To a very special friend Floyd Carden; brothers and sisters, Erin Franklin Thrasher of Sheffield, Aaron Franklin Thrasher of Keiser, AR, Emmett Franklin Jr. Thrasher of Tuscumbia, Berlon Waymon Thrasher of Bebe, Hillard Wayne Thrasher of Gurley, Billy Ray Thrasher of Luxora, AR, James Earl Thrasher of Banilla, AR, Gary Eldon Thrasher of Grapevine, TX, Audrey Dean Watson of Cooter, Missouri and Jennette Marie Nichols of Osceola, AR; 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
