Graveside service for Verna Jeanette Parker, 88, of Moulton, will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Bogar Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 at Elliott Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parker who was born on July 4, 1924 in Lawrence County to Guy Jefferson Mitchell and Joella Cagle Mitchell, died on January 8, 2013 at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lyndon E. Parker, brother, Bobby Mitchell and sisters, Opal Cole and Frances Freeman.
Survivors include, daughter, Lynette Parker; brothers, Larry
Mitchell & wife Mary Jane and James Mitchell & wife Betty; sister, Jackie Slayton & husband Wade.
