Verna Celestine Tidwell, 82, of Rogersville died Sunday, April 15, 2012, at ECM Hospital. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 18, 2012, 12-2PM at Elkins East Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2PM with Bro. Jim Cox officiating. Burial will be at Hurricane Cemetery. Mrs. Tidwell was preceded in death by her husband Edgar James Tidwell; son Johnathan James Tidwell; daughter Helen Elaine Tidwell. She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Jean Parker (Bill), June Ridgeway, and Theresa T. Speakman; two sisters, Dovie White and Nellie Sinyard (Jimmy); six grandchildren, Leahbeth Walker (Jeremy), Jennifer Baker (Ben), Nicole Parker, Danielle Smith (Jake), Troy Whitaker, Jr., and MSgt Jason R. Taylor (SMSgt Tammy). Pallbearers will be Bob Belue, Bryan Belue, Don Patterson, Frank Beavers, Harry Belue, and Sammy Springer.
