Obituary

Virginia "Ginnie" (Neville) Forthman was born on June 5, 1943, to Orville and Dorothy (Luedtke)

Neville in Columbus, NE. The family moved to Tucson, AZ when she was in junior high. She was a

member of the dance team while attending Flowing Wells High School. While there, she met her

future husband, Jim. However, their relationship did not bloom until Jim had started college. They

both loved sports, playing bridge, hockey, dirt track and modified stock car racing. They got married

on June 20, 1964. Jim and Ginnie had known each other a total of 64 years, and of those, 58 years

and 34 days were spent together

Ginnie enjoyed teaching and helping with children, both at church and at schools. She helped put on

talent shows at Woodmeade Elementary, sponsored the Austin High School Color Guard for 14

years, and still had time to sponsor a Pee-Wee football cheerleading squad for three years.

At church she taught Sunday School, participated in the Ladies Auxiliary, and the LWML (Lutheran

Women's Missionary League), She was Church Secretary for 25 years, during which time she got to

play "Grandma's Preschool Taxi Service.)" She would drive to her Granddaughter's daycare and

pick her and her playmates up and bring them to the church for preschool, and then take them back

to daycare after school was over. She really enjoyed driving all of the children. Once she retired as

Church Secretary, she began her own card ministry, creating her own cards to send to others in good

times and bad.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville Dorothy (Luedtke) Neville, and her brother Lee

Roy Neville. She is survived by two daughters Cindy (Ken) Hamilton and Jennifer Forthman, and

one granddaughter Anna Marie Hamilton.

Pall bearers will be Raymond Asher, Nikii Asher, Kody Asher, Ty Asher, Mark McMinn and Jeff

Pittman.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Paul's Preschool or the Alzheimer's

Association.
