Virginia Guthrie Joiner, 81, of Florence died Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Cottage of the Shoals.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 12, 2021, 1-2 PM at Elkins Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the Chapel with Ralph Jones and Thomas Spence officiating. Burial will be at Sherrod Valley Cemetery.

Mrs. Joiner was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Minnie Guthrie; husband, James Glenn Joiner; seven siblings.

She is survived by her children, Phillip, Jeff (Kathy), Johnny (Shelley), Jan (Jimmy), and Jennifer (Greg); thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Steven Joiner, DJ Joiner, Houston Joiner, Jim Joiner, Rylee Woody, Greg Woody, Bobby McKelvey, and Nathan Wilkerson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Chip Mora, Turner Risner, Jamie Bobo.
