Funeral for Virginia M. Smith, 80, of Decatur will be Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Todd Evans officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith, who died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at USA Healthcare in Falkville, was born December 8, 1929, in Paris, Tenn., to George and Ada McCutcheon. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was retired from Compass Bank.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Owens and her husband, Pete, of Hartselle; four sons, Roger Smith and his wife, Bonita, Steve Smith and his wife, Carla, both of Decatur, Alan Smith and his wife, Kathy, of Nashville, and Ken Smith and his wife, Carol, of Montevallo; one brother, Charles McCutcheon and his wife, Joy; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
