Virginia Gautney Tays Ezell, 94, formerly of Killen, died Sunday, August 13, 2023, in Limestone County.

A memorial service will be Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 3:30 PM at Elkins East Chapel. The family will greet friends and family after the service. Charlie Holt, Bro. Stan Dean,  and Dr. Tim Ashely will be officiating the service.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Tays and second husband, Hiram Ezell; sister, Shirley House.

Mrs. Ezell is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Sharon Tays Scroggins (Gary); grandchildren, Julie Young (Jud) and Charlie Holt (Laura); great-grandchildren, Luke Young, Andrew Young, Tays Holt, Lyla Holt, Caroline Holt, and Charlotte Holt; several nieces and nephews.

She was a member  of Killen Chuch of Christ. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She had a servant's heart and was devoted to her family.
