William H.
"Bill" Buxton
June 4, 1950 – March 23, 2017

Bill was a really great person and will be missed but not forgotten. I first had the pleasure of meeting bill in Tuscaloosa back in '96. He has had me laughing and smiling ever since. He may have been the smartest man I have had the pleasure to know. Bill for sure was one of the most fun; I will never forget always trying to keep up with several simultaneous jokes wrapped around the serious discussion. The Liverbirds are still chained in place Bill. RIP mate. Colin.

I learned with great sorrow of Bill's passing just this morning. I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the Buxton family. Bill was one of the people I greatly admired in my career, and, by far, one of the most intelligent persons I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and working with. Not to mention the fact that he always made you laugh as well as think, when you could decipher the lesson in the steady stream of blue-streak language that poured from him. Believe me, I was always glad to be on his good side most of the time (at least I think I was! At least he gave me a relatively benign nickname, unlike a few others over the years. And I will miss that humor greatly.)Our industry is much the poorer today without him in it. Bill was without a doubt an amazing person. Jose (Hose-B)
