William C. "Bill" Weaver was born October 15, 1931 in Waterloo, Alabama and died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in Florence, Alabama.
Services will be held Saturday in the Chapel of Woodmont Baptist Church of which he was a member for forty years. The Rev. Jerry Rea will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Bill spent four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Reynolds Alloys. Upon his retirement he enjoyed researching genealogy, traveling, and volunteering for Meals on Wheels. He was a member of The Mended Hearts Club.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Earline Winsett Weaver, his nieces and nephews, and his precious great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jasper Clarence and Mary Ann Ticer Weaver; sisters Vertie Barker, Lucille Whitaker, Oneita Sipress, and Mary June Cherry; brother James Paul Weaver.
The family wishes to thank everyone for their prayers, calls, cards, and visits during his short illness. Also, the family wishes to express gratitude to Dr. William Hobbs, Dr. Felix Morris, and Dr. Paul Morris for their care.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Fund, Muscular Dystrophy, Woodmont Baptist Church Building Fund, or a charity of your choice.
