Funeral service for William O. "Billy" Mooney, 90, Decatur will be Saturday Oct. 7, 2017 at 12 noon at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral with Mark Posey officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the funeral home.
Mr. Mooney who died Oct. 5, 2017 at Decatur Morgan Hospital was born on July 20, 1927, in Morgan Co. to David B. Mooney and Berta Agnes Johnson Mooney.
He was a brick mason for 32 years and a member of Austinville Church of Christ for 56 years. He loved puzzles and football.
Mr. Mooney was preceded in death by he wife of 64 years, Betty Jo Mooney, six sisters and one brother.
He is survived by a son; Brian Mooney and wife Suzanne and a host of nieces and nephews and Church family.
