Mr. William O''Neal Brown, age 68, of Tuscumbia, died Friday, September 25, 2009. Visitation will be Sunday, September 27, 2009, from 1 - 3 P.M. at Elkins East Chapel Center Star. The service will follow at 3:00 P.M in the funeral home chapel with Bro.''s Bill Bedsole and James Waddell officiating. Interment will be in Barnett cemetery.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Brown was a U.S. Air Force veteran who enjoyed gospel concerts. He was a volunteer at Helen Keller hospital and was active in prison ministry.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Joyce Brown; Infant daughter, Carol Shay Brown; Parents, Lonie Anne and Ernest Osville Brown; Brother, Coleman Leo Brown and Sister, Edna Brown Holt.
He is survived by his son, Stephen O''Neal Brown, Daughters; Brandy McClure and husband Jason, Walonda Tankersley and husband Tim. Brother; Jasper Earl Brown and wife Donna. 5 grandchildren.
The family would like to offer a heart felt thanks to Dr.''s Brad McCannaly, Carmichael, Rau Boorgu, Ridgeway and Raju. And to the wonderful nurses of Helen Keller Intensive Care Unit. And to the Helen Keller volunteers.
