The funeral for William Jesse Jeffreys Jr., age 86 of Moulton will be at 3:oopm Saturday July 2, 2016, at Moulton Baptist Church. Dr. Jesse Reeder will be officiating. Burial will follow in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the Church from 1:30 pm until service time. Elliott Brown Service Funeral Home will be directing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Jesse Jeffreys Sr. and son William Max Jeffreys.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie Smith Jeffteys: son, Tim Jeffreys and wife Robin, of Atlanta, Georgia, and a daughter, Kim Jeffreys Pitts and husband Bill, of Birmingham. He is also survived by four grandchildren: William Pitts, Maggie Pitts, Matthew Jefftreys and Madison Jeffreys.

He was a graduate of the University of North Alabama, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Later he earned a masters degree in Chemistry at Peabody College. He retired from Monsanto after 35 years as a chemist. He was a member of Moulton Baptist Church. He will always be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
