Obituary

William Sanford Wilson, a resident of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, entered his Heavenly home on Sunday May 8th, 2022.
Better known as "Pop", was born July 17, 1928 in Liberty Grove, Tennessee.
He retired after 30 years from NABISCO on August 1, 1983.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of over 50 years, Jean Delores Putman Wilson, Mary Love Scott Wilson of 12 years and a granddaughter Isabella Jean Duffy, and infant grandson of Lori and Shajar Bhatti. He is survived by two sons: Dale (Susan) and Carl (Patty) Wilson.

He is survived by 6 grandchildren Jeremy (Jamey) Wilson, Summer (Philip) Duffy IV, Erin (Bern) Staples, Courtney Cordonis, Lori (Shajar) Bhatti, and William (Molly) Wilson.

He is survived by 17 great grandchildren Jeremiah, Joshua, Josiah, John Mark Wilson. Hannah, Leah Kate, Phebe, Priscilla Duffy. Elle and Eli Staples.

Alex and Aiden Cordonis, Joe David Holland. Olivia and Cyrus Bhatti. Liam and Owen Wilson.

He is survived by one sibling, Peggy Ann Miller.

Pop accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior early in life and faithfully served "HIM" throughout his life. Pop was persuaded that his purpose in later years was to be a care giver for both Nana (Delores) and Mary. He was a faithful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.


Pallbearers will be Ricky Moore, Stanley Wilson, Brent Wilson, John Putman, Dan Putman, and David Harvey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heritage Church Bible Fund in honor of William S. Wilson PO Box 1374 Picayune, Mississippi 39466.
