Ms. McKean passed away at the age of 92 at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation, Dec. 31, 2008. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, from 1 to 3 p.m. and the service will be at 3 p.m. at Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home with Bobby Graham officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Ms. McKean had worked at Alabama Hosiery Mill, Chemstrand and retired from Goodyear Mill. She was a member of Old Moulton Road Church of Christ. She was active in TOPS for many years and also attended several Blue Bird Camps. She was born in Lawrence County on Sept. 9, 1916, to Archie Monroe and Beatrice Blankenship McCay. She and her brothers and sisters, Bessie McCay, Bernice McCay, Oliver McKay, Price McCay, Quentin McCay, Roy McCay and Wallace McCay, will be joining their parents in Heaven. Willie is survived by one son, Geoffrey McKean and Teresa; two grandsons, Brandon Mc-Kean and Jake McKean and Amanda; one great-grandchild, Ava McKean; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
