Willy Spears, 73, of Florence died Monday, July 2, 2018, at Shoals Hospital.

Visitation will be Friday, July 6, 2018, 10 AM to 12 PM at Elkins Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 12 PM in the chapel with Pastor Steve Smallwood officiating.  Burial will be at Murphy's Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Spears was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Nix and Chris Spears; grandson, Anthony Phillips.

Mr. Spears is survived by his wife of 43 years, Ellen Spears; daughters, Merry Ellen Phillips, Leasa Carter, Tabitha Ballard, and Tracey Moravits; sons, Timmy Nix, Eric Nix, and Brian Spears; three sisters; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
