Funeral for Wilson H. Kent, 91, of Decatur will be today, Sept. 21, 2007, at noon at Ridout's Brown-Service Chapel with Todd Evans and Billy Hamlin officiating. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. Mr. Kent, who died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, was born June 10, 1916, in Colbert County to John M. Kent and Minnie Crosswhite Kent. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. He was a member of IBEW Brotherhood of Electricians for 61 years. His parents; and one sister, Mildred McCollum, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Lois M. Kent; son, Dale W. Kent and his wife, Jeannie, of St. Paul, Minn.; daughter, Judith K. Jackson and her husband, Charles, of Decatur; brother, Curtis Kent of Tuscumbia; five grandchildren, Jana Frost and her husband, Keith, Kevin Jackson and his wife, Dena, Alicia Hahn and her husband, Kris, Ashley Kent and his wife, Micki, and Jeremy Kent and his wife, Devonne; and six great-grandchildren, Emily and John Frost, Hannah and Braden Hahn, Addison Kent and Molly Sue Kent. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
