W.P. "Woody" Richardson age 94 of Lexington, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014. Visitation will be Thursday evening June 5, 2014from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at Elkins East Chapel. Services will be Friday, June 6, 2014 in the Chapel of Elkins East Chapel at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Sam Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Pettus Cemetery in Lexington. Pallbearers will be family.

Mr. Richardson is preceded by his wife Syble C. Richardson.

Woody is survived by two daughters; Meredith Northern and husband Ron and Lanee Wildman and her late husband Rod. Two grandchildren; Melissa Lawler and husband Casey and Stephanie Jones and husband J.J. Six great-grandchildren; Caleb, Shannon, Meagan, Justin, Sean and Cameron.

Mr. Richardson was a member of Lexington United Methodist Church and a Member of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.
