Wylodine Thigpen age 85 of Cherokee, passed on September 8, 2011. Visitation will be Monday September 12, from Noon till 2pm at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence, with services to follow at 2pm in the Chapel, with Brother Nolan Burns officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Thigpen was preceded in death by her husband Baylus C. Thigpen.
She was survived by her son Lamont T. McCreless and wife Linda, who was just like a daughter. "They were so close." Grandaughter, Lisa Wylie "her baby" and husband Brian. Grandson Tyler McCreless "her handsome". Her great grandson Dylan Wylie "her little helper". Step grandchildren, Sharon, Jennifer, and Floyd Jr. as well as special friends, Gladyes Lawson, Teresa, Becky, and Judy.

Pallbearers will be Larry Woody, Greg Woody, Daniel Overton, Jimmy Lash, Milton Nance and Ollie Petty. Honorary bearers will be Mike Wilson, Ricky Wilson and Jack Lash.
